Sexual Health Services
Take charge of your sexual health with our comprehensive services and resources
Free Condoms (external & internal):
Access free external and internal condoms to help prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unplanned pregnancies. Condoms are available for discreet pick-up at all of our clinic locations.
STI testing (including HIV and HCV testing)
Screening for common sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), and HCV (hepatitis C virus). Both urine/blood testing and physical examinations are available.
STI treatment
Medical treatment and prescriptions for curing bacterial STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhea, as well as managing viral infections like HIV, herpes, and hepatitis.
HIV testing
Fast and reliable HIV testing by a fingerstick or mouth swab, with results in minutes at all our clinic sites. This test can detect HIV 6-8 weeks after exposure. A confirmatory blood test is provided if the rapid test is positive.
HPV Vaccines (Gardasil)
Provides vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical, anal, and other cancers. Gardasil helps prevent HPV infections, protecting your long-term health.
Hepatitis C Testing
Offers blood tests to screen for the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which can cause liver disease. Early detection is crucial for effective treatment and preventing long-term health complications.
PrEP HIV prevention medication
Access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medications like Truvada that can drastically reduce the risk of contracting HIV when taken daily by those at high risk.
Hepatitis C testing
Blood tests to screen specifically for the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which can cause liver disease. Early detection is important for treatment.

Birth Control
Consultations and prescriptions for birth control methods such as IUDs, implants, injections, and oral contraceptive pills. Get personalized counseling to choose the right option for preventing pregnancy based on your lifestyle and family planning goals.
Pregnancy Tests
Tapestry offers urine pregnancy testing on a walk-in basis at all our clinic sites. These pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy often before a missed period. Clinic staff will help refer you to the care you choose if the test is positive. This visit generally takes less than 30 minutes.
Medication Abortion (Abortion Pill)
Medication abortion is a safe and effective process to end a pregnancy. It is available up to 11 weeks (77 days) from the first day of your last period. Depending on your situation, you may also have an ultrasound or blood test.
Gender Affirming Care
Tapestry offers gender-affirming hormone therapy at all our clinic sites to people 18 and older. If you are under 18, we will refer you to other providers who can provide care. Tapestry staff will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs and treatment goals.
Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy
Hormone replacement therapy with gender-affirming hormones for transgender and non-binary individuals.
Pelvic Exams
Physical examination of the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and rectum to evaluate overall gynecological health and screen for abnormalities.
Mammogram Referrals
Referrals for mammogram screenings an important tool for early detection of breast cancer. Regular screenings can help catch potential issues early when they're most treatable.
Pap Tests
Screening test that collects cells from the cervix to detect precancerous changes or cervical cancer. Pap tests are recommended regularly for people with cervixes.
Referrals for Colposcopies
Make referrals for colposcopy procedures when pap test results are abnormal. A colposcopy uses magnification to closely examine the cervix, vagina and vulva.

Gender-Affirming Care Counseling
Supportive counseling for individuals exploring or pursuing gender-affirming care. Our trained counselors offer information about hormone therapy, surgical options, and social transition, creating a safe space for you to discuss your gender identity and healthcare needs.

Everyone is eligible for our services, regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, income, or immigration status.
- Tapestry accepts most insurance plans including MassHealth. If you have a specific question about coverage, call your insurance company or the Tapestry clinic where you will be receiving services. Be sure to bring your insurance card to your appointment.
- If you do not wish to use your insurance, we offer reduced-cost services based on income and family size. Payment plans and sliding scale pricing are available.
- If you are uninsured or can’t use your insurance because of an unsafe situation, we offer reduced-to-no-cost services based on income and family size.
