Support Stigma-Free Community Healthcare for Everyone
For 50 years, Tapestry has been dedicated to non-judgmental, access to quality care for all.
In 1973, Tapestry opened to provide access to sexual and reproductive health care, when it was extremely controversial to offer any form of birth control. Today, this program is still evolving to meet the most recent threats to bodily autonomy with ongoing gender affirming health care and, most recently, medication abortion (abortion pill). We fought against the tide of stigma when opening the first needle exchange program west of Boston as HIV/AIDS erupted in the 1980s, through the start of the opioid crisis in the 1990s, with many steps along the way that involved tireless advocacy to now offer evolving and cutting-edge harm reduction services, such as drug residue checking and mobile healthcare for people who use drugs.
Tapestry believes that everyone has the right to make informed decisions about their bodies and futures. Our recent program initiatives stand at the forefront of meaningful transformation. Your involvement helps remove barriers and ensures stigma-free healthcare access for generations ahead in Western Massachusetts.
