Tapestry is in a unique community position to provide gender-affirming hormone (GAH) care as a known gender- affirming provider.
Consultation, bloodwork, and receipt of informed consent that details the pathway to GAHT.
Once blood work returns and levels are safe, you can start GAHT. A clinician will teach you how to safely take your GAHT. We encourage you to bring a trusted support person so that they can learn how to safely administer your medication too. If you are still uncomfortable taking your medication alone, a clinician can continue to help you instead.
Appointments and associated lab work will occur at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and then annually. Expect 5-6 visits your first year.
*It is incredibly important that you keep in touch with your clinician about your experience on hormones. Safety and communication are essential*
