We maintain sites throughout Western Massachusetts for the many roles in our agency. Currently, we have the following positions available:

Development Associate


Tapestry Health seeks a dynamic candidate to fill a 30-hour per week position supporting fundraising activities at our Regional Office in Florence, MA. Tapestry is a community organization that provides public health programs such as family planning and sexual health services; HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, needle exchange, and opioid overdose prevention; and WIC nutrition services.
The Development Associate will play a crucial role in stewarding Tapestry’s donor relationships and helping to grow our fundraising capacity.  

Key areas of responsibility include: recording and acknowledging all donations and maintaining excellent donor records; streamlining the logistics of printing and mailing fundraising materials; managing systems for event invitations and registrations; and providing administrative and logistical support to Development and Communications. Candidates from fields other than fundraising/development who have transferable skills and experience are encouraged to apply.

 Data Entry and Correspondence (45%)

  • Receive and process all donations. With front desk and accounting staff, coordinate and monitor proper coding and tracking of all incoming gifts.
  • Enter gift data into online database. Accurately code multiple gift types, assign correct acknowledgment letters, and update donor codes and contact information.
  • Quickly and efficiently generate acknowledgment letters and other correspondence as requested (thank you notes, pledge reminders, special communications).
  • Monitor, enter, receipt and reconcile all credit card gifts made via phone, our billing department, or third-party online platforms.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of donor and prospect records in the database.
  • Maintain organized donor record filing systems in hard copy and on shared drive.
  • Be a friendly, helpful resource to donors. Respond to inquiries by email and phone.


Events and Mailings (45%)

  • Generate, organize, and monitor spreadsheets for appeal mailings, sponsorship requests, event invitations, and event registrations.
  • Track all event responses including attendance, sponsorships, and auction donations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest lists. Be a knowledgeable resource about event income totals, head counts, and VIP guest needs.
  • Prepare registration and other materials for events. Provide help at registration desk and other logistical support . (Attendance at 4-5 special events per year is required and may include evening or weekend work.)
  • Use database to generate mailing lists for appeals. Accurately execute Word mail merges of letters and envelopes for up to 1,500+ names.
  • Coordinate vendors and/or volunteers to print, assemble, stuff, and mail materials including appeal letters, envelopes, postcards, posters, nametags, and event invitations.


Other Administrative Support (10%)

  • Help prepare fundraising materials for Board meetings and major donor meetings.
  • Help complete and submit applications for workplace giving and other small grant programs.
  • Assist Development Manager and Accounting staff with financial reconciliation.
  • Order supplies and maintain organization of Development and Communications closet.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned by the Development Manager.


Qualifications

  •  Minimum two-year Associate’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years working in a professional office environment to organize large amounts of information, solve logistical problems and provide administrative support.
  • Must have excellent skills with Excel, Word and mail merge, and previous experience with database applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, accurate data entry and proofreading skills, and friendly, professional phone manner.
  • Excellent planning, organization, time-management, attention-to-detail and follow-through skills to complete tasks accurately, independently, and on time.
  • Works well under (and even enjoys!) occasional “crunch time” pressure.
  • Personable, flexible and able to be supervised.
  • Has own transportation and the ability to travel to the office at least 4 days/week
  • Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

 Substitute Clinician (NP/PA/CNM) - Western MA

 

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization that provides a range of essential services throughout Western Massachusetts, with a focus on family planning and reproductive health care. We are currently seeking Substitute Clinicians (NP,PA.CNM) to fill in at our various sites throughout Western, Mass. Locations include: Holyoke, Springfield, Northampton, Amherst, Greenfield and Pittsfield.  Hours, locations and frequency will vary based on need. No minimum required sub hours per month and the ability to travel to all sites is not necessary.  Travel reimbursement is provided.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications: NP/PA/CNM License to practice in the state of Massachusetts, Board certified, ability to work with diverse clientele and staff, good interpersonal skills and a team mentality is a must! At least one year of clinical experience and knowledge of women's health care is required.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour

 Internships

Holyoke Needle Exchange Intern

Learn about harm reduction, overdose prevention, infectious disease prevention, and culture and practices of injection drug users; perform administrative duties (answer phones, greet clients, record data of client encounters); offer supplies and education to clients; help to maintain inventory; represent agency at community outreach events; assist with other tasks as needed. Spanish language skills highly desired.
