Director of Health Services - Florence

Tapestry Health is a non-profit health care agency that has been serving Western MA for over 40 years. Currently we are seeking a new Director of Health Services to oversee our family planning and reproductive health clinics throughout Western MA. Primary responsibilities include: oversee clinical operations, provide leadership to clinic managers and as a member of the executive team, oversee introduction of electronic health records and manage finances/reporting.

HIV Medical Case Manager/Harm Reduction Counselor - Greenfield

Tapestry Health seeks a dynamic candidate to fill a full time position that combines HIV Medical Case Management (32 Hours) along with Harm Reduction Counseling (8 Hours) in our Greenfield office.  As the HIV Medical Case Manager, the employee will provide direct services and administrative support to the agency's HIV Client Services department at Tapestry Health.  As the Harm Reduction Counselor, the employee will be responsible for providing outreach and education to drug users in regards to HIV prevention.  

Minimum Required Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience with
HIV/AIDS prevention principles as well as working with people living with HIV, familiarity with Franklin County community and familiarity with substance abuse issues. Valid Mass driver’s license and access to a car. Skills in community health/social services.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Education: Ability to be creative and flexible, work Independently as well as in a team. Some knowledge with Internet, Microsoft Word and other computer Programs.

Compensation:

$16.38 per hour for HIV Medical Case Manager (32 Hours)

$15.10 per hour for Harm Reductions Counselor (8 Hours)

Clinician (NP, PA, CNM)- Holyoke, Springfield, Amherst

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization servicing Western Massachusetts for 40 years.  We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the part time position (32 hours a week) of Clinician in our Holyoke, Springfield and Amherst sites.

Duties:

  • Perform routine initial and annual comprehensive exams for female clients
  • Perform STD screens for male clients
  • Review of client’s medical history
  • Order routine laboratory screening tests and additional laboratory tests as described in the protocol
  • Perform lab tests as needed and within scope of practice
  • Perform venipuncture as needed
  • Provide appropriate birth control methods in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols
  • Provide for the assessment and management of sexually transmitted diseases, vaginitis and urinary tract infections in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols
  • Make appropriate referrals to other health care providers for services beyond the scope of Tapestry
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service programs when possible
  • Attend the Medical Concerns Meetings and other pertinent meetings as scheduled
  • Act as medical consultant to staff at the health center
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications:  Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Board Certified.  Demonstrates professional, positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse team.  Ability to serve diverse clientele and carry out administrative duties related to the practice.

Preferred Experience: Bilingual, Spanish.  Background in women’s health and sexual reproductive health

Part-Time Counselor- Pittsfield

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization that provides a range of essential services throughout Western Massachusetts, with a focus on family planning and reproductive health care. We are currently seeking a part-time Counselor for our Pittsfield site, approximately 28 hours per week.

Duties: Provide counseling to clients regarding reproductive health issues, contraceptive issues, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, routine testing and screening, and breast and testicular self-exams. Ability to draw blood and do finger sticks.

Qualifications: Minimum 2-year Associate’s degree; one year of relevant experience; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse clientele and staff. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!

Compensation: $13.18 per hour

Needle Exhange Program Manager - Holyoke

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization that provides a range of essential services throughout Western Massachusetts, with a focus on family planning and reproductive health care. We are currently seeking a full-time Needle Exchange Program Manager for our Holyoke Site.

Duties

  • The Needle Exchange Program Manager is responsible for planning and supervising harm reduction services at the Tapestry Health Holyoke Needle Exchange Program in accordance with standards and policies established by Tapestry Health Systems. This employee will hire, train, monitor, and evaluate all direct workers, volunteers, and interns.
  • The Needle Exchange Program Manager will monitor contract requirements, assure compliance with all performance standards, and coordinate all data gathering activities related to grant and contracts in a timely manner. This employee will involve priority populations in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the programs.
  • The Needle Exchange Program Manager will develop and maintain both internal and external collaborative relationships.  This position will attend regional/local community meetings that serve to enhance the agency’s role in the community and will be asked to represent Tapestry Health in the absence of the Director of Prevention Services. 
  • The Needle Exchange Program Manager works with the Needle Exchange to ensure that all services are high quality, cost effective, and client oriented.  

 

Qualifications

  • College Education degree required.  Masters in Social Work or Public Health preferred.
  • Five years of experience in HIV/AIDS field preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory skills, program development, and budgeting skills required.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse issues on both the state and federal levels required.
  • Knowledge of addiction theory and substance abuse treatment modalities required
  • Willingness to work with diverse clientele and staff; and to work as part of a team
  • Ability to carry out typical administrative functions, make phone calls, and use of computer
  • Willingness to be trained in blood draws and perform as needed.
  • Current Massachusetts Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation required
  • Supports the mission and goals of the agency

Full Time Harm Reduction Counselor - Holyoke Needle Exchange

Qualifications:

  •  Experience with substance abuse and knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention principles.
  • Knowledge of drug using culture. Valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible, work independently as well as in a team.
  • Non-judgmental approach when working with clients.
  • Some working knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Word, and other computer programs.
  • Knowledge of addiction theory, substance abuse treatment programs, HIV prevention, and viral hepatitis.
  • Preferred: Spanish language fluency

Primary Responsibilities: The Harm Reduction Counselor is responsible for working as part of a team to provide outreach and education to injection drug users in regards to HIV prevention.  The Harm Reduction Counselor will work as part of a Harm Reduction Team to develop effective goals and strategies to identify, access, educate and support out-of-treatment injection drug users in reducing their risk for HIV infection or transmission. The Harm Reduction Counselor works as part of a team of Outreach Workers to ensure that services to the community are high quality, accessible and non-judgmental.  

Compensation: $15.10 Per Hour

Site Operations Manager - La Voz Program

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization that provides a range of essential services throughout Western Massachusetts, with a focus on family planning and reproductive health care. We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to work 30 hours per week for our La Voz Site in Springfield.

Duties

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Site Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination and over-sight of all day-to-day administrative and support services, including word processing, reception, mailing, filing, copying, ordering, maintaining facility/equipment, coordinating security systems, etc.

This Site Operations Manager will coordinate and manage the department’s documents for all programs housed at the site.  The position will assist the management team in quality assurance activities including client chart reviews and staff performance evaluations.  This person will supervise volunteers and interns as needed, and will supervise staff in the absence of the Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four years of college experience required

  • Two years of office management required, including: supervisory experience, organization skills, and general administrative skills

  • Proficiency in Computer Skills:  Microsoft Word/Excel, database entry/management, typing level of 60 wpm

  • Bilingual and bicultural in Spanish and English required; ability to write and translate written materials in both Spanish and English preferred

  • Excellent verbal/written communicate skills required

  • Willingness to work with diverse clientele and staff; and to work as part of a team

  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and Harm Reduction principles and practices preferred

  • Current Massachusetts Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation required
