Every year Tapestry Health goes to Boston with supporters, clients and advocates from across the state to show support for family planning services. In addition to attending rallies, staff and clients meet with legislators to share information and encourage them to support these crucial family planning services.
This state house day is especially important this year, as cuts to human services are expected and could be severe.
The Family Planning Statehouse Day will be on Tuesday, February 1. Once again this year, Tapestry Health will hold the annual legislative luncheon. Tapestry Health staff members have an opportunity to meet with Western Massachusetts legislators, share their work and the stories of clients that are unable to come. The luncheon gives legislators an opportunity to hear directly from people involved in HIV and reproductive health services, and allows staff to voice their support for why these services need funding.
