Remembering Our Friend and Colleague, Hutson Innis
Hutson Inniss, 47, of D.C. and formerly of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Hutson Inniss and Rosa L. Coaston, he was raised and educated in the Chicopee/ Springfield area. For over a decade, Hutson worked at Tapestry Health, including as Vice President for Community and Organizational Development. In 2010 he moved to Washington, D.C. to become the Executive Director of the National Coalition for LGBT Health. Hutson is survived by a sister Johanna M. Breedon on Boston, his aunt Pearlie Pitts of Springfield; cousins Gary L. Colston of Springfield, Marsha Pitts-Phillps of Plymouth, MN, Marcus Pitts, III, Tawnya Pitts-Jones of Springfield and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will take place at 4:00pm Monday, April 29 with a reception immediately following. The calling hour will be Monday, at noon at Harrell Funeral Home, 355 St. James Avenue, followed by funeral services from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetary.
