Overdose header

In response to the recent spike in overdoses in the region, we are holding a free training next Tuesday, November 24 at 6:00pm in the Summit Room at the La Quinta on Congress Street in Springfield. You will learn:

- how the opioid epidemic is impacting the region
- how to recognize and prevent an opioid overdose
- what to do if an overdose occurs, including calling 9-1-1
- how to perform rescue breathing
- how to administer nasal naloxone, or Narcan.

For those who are likely to witness an overdose, we can provide free Narcan.

Can you imagine going through winter without a coat or gloves? Some of our clients in the Pioneer Valley don't have a choice. Get a free cup of coffee when you donate new or gently used winter wear to participating locations from now through December 14.
